WHAT IS THE METAVERSE

The Metaverse is, broadly, a digital world that you can enter in avatar form to do everything you can do in real life: work, play, shop and socialise.

The vision for the metaverse idea is that it (or they) will be a virtual space with similarities to real life that you access through the internet with an emphasis on 3D and 'presence' - the feeling that you are actually there. Like some video games already offer, you cal already access virtual worlds via headsets and glasses. In an ideal metaverse, everything will be linked and interconnect and interoperable and, of course, decentralised.
