July 2020
Dear dWeb Enthusiast,
Thanks for tuning into the July edition of the dWebguide.com newsletter. It's been a difficult time for millions of people, with the corona virus keeping us on our toes no matter where we are in the world. While the virus has made physical travel between countries more difficult, and sometimes impossible, digital communications have brought us closer than ever and shown that humans are all in this together.
Our newsletter this month has a few items on corona-virus related updates and plenty to help take your mind off it!

Coronavirus changing the way we see the world
There have been hundreds of articles on how coronavirus has changed the world - sometimes even for the better. We at dWebguide.com are gratified to see that decentralisation is becoming a theme, related to how it will improve the resilience of the internet in the time of such a crisis. Even more interesting; decentralisation as a theme is applying to workforces and research also.
Workers are moving out of major cities, decentralised Covid data sharing apps have been developed, and the EU is pushing for a decentralised approach to contact tracing to protect privacy. Of course peer-to-peer networks have been growing for years but its taken a pandemic for the idea of decentralisation to become more than a buzzword.

OUR DWEB FAVOURITES DIRECTORY
Did you know we had a list of favourite dWeb sites? We have chosen some of these just because they look nice and are fun to use! However, many are there because they have really great content and functionality.
There are thousands of dWeb domains but the vast majority are holdings sites or names for sale. We provided this list so you don't have to trawl through them all! We adjust and update this special directory regularly so check it out!
